Meet Your Hosts
- Ed Claughton- Law enforcement veteran Ed Claughton, founder and President of PRI, is a former police lieutenant who once managed the records and technology unit for the Coral Gables, FL PD. As the UCR program manager, systems administrator and custodian of records, he became quite passionate about information management in law enforcement. Ed’s mantra is…”keep it accurate, error-free and well-written.” Ed holds a Master of Criminal Justice degree and has instructed agencies in UCR/NIBRS, records management, and public records for over 20 years, and provides consulting services to help agencies achieve records and tech compliance and peak performance.
- Brian Cash- Brian Cash began his law enforcement career in 1992 with the Leesburg Police Department in Florida. Over the years he has served in patrol, community services and criminal investigations. In 2007 while serving as the department’s intelligence liaison he became the first sworn officer to graduate from the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy. As with many analysts the certification brought with it responsibility for his department’s Uniform Crime Reporting. Being a crime analyst has afforded Brian a unique perspective on the importance of separating NIBRS from raw data analysis. Brian‘s expertise will help your agency not only compile accurate NIBRS reports but also provide reliable crime statistics. Brian has been teaching NIBRS and public records for over 10 years with PRI.
